Donald Paul Schwalbert, 86, of Imperial, died May 4, 2017, in St. Louis. Mr. Schwalbert was an equipment trainer for Laclede Gas. Born June 4, 1930, in Imperial, he was the son of the late John and Lydia (Ehlers) Schwalbert. He was preceded in death by his wife, Constance C. Schwalbert.
He is survived by two sons: Rick (Michelle) Schwalbert of Waterloo, Ill. and Jeff (Loretta) Schwalbert of Imperial; and four grandchildren: Meredith Schwalbert, Megan Schwalbert, Jeffrey Schwalbert and Matthew Schwalbert.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 8, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road in St. Louis. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd. in Arnold, officiated by Pastor Jeremy Schultz. Burial will be at St. John’s LutheranCemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. John’s Lutheran Church Building Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
