Donald L. Frischman, 78, of Linn died Aug. 2, 2018, at Fountainbleau Nursing Center in Festus. Mr. Frischman was a meat cutter for Federal Meat Co. Born Oct. 23, 1939, in Collinsville, Ill., he was the son of the late Arthur Frischman and Agnes (Dickshot) Frischman Schettler and stepson of the late William Schettler. He was preceded in death by his special friend: Stella Groves.
He is survived by his former wife and longtime friend: Ann Costello; two children: Kim (Mike) Kingsland of Blackwell and Kurt (Joan) Frischman of St. Louis; three siblings: Dorothy Garner, Ed (Pam) Schettler and Patricia (Paul) LaVista; 11 grandchildren: Kristina (Dan) McCarthy, Kyle (Crystal) Frischman, Anthony Frischman, Aleesha Frischman, Kris Frischman, Ashley (Melvin) Hollamby, Kurt Frischman, Kelsey Kingsland, Austin Kingsland, Brycen Kingsland and Brittany (Andy) Aubuchon; and eight great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by two sons: Kevin Frischman and Donald L. Frischman Jr.; and one brother: Fred Frischman.
Mr. Frischman chose to donate his body to the Washington University School of Medicine. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
