Donald J. Swaller, 79, of Arnold died June 10, 2022. Mr. Swaller retired from the Fox C-6 School District. He loved fishing, golf, watching sports on TV and spending time with family and friends. He was born June 5, 1943, in St. Louis, the son of the late Albert and Mildred (Poepper) Swaller.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Connie (Whitehead) Swaller; three children: Tammy Gallagher, Terri (Charlie) Bullington and Tim (Carolyn) Swaller; five grandchildren: Jackson Gallagher, Dylan Gallagher, Andrea Scharf, Asher Swaller and Charlie Bullington; seven siblings: Albert (Gloria) Swaller, Darril (Sue) Swaller, Sharon (Vic) Brouk, William (Kelly) Swaller, Ronald (Patti) Swaller, Gregory (Joyce) Swaller and Laverne (Kevin Long) Hereford; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by a sister: Mary Voss.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at St. John Catholic Church, 4614 Blue Springs Drive, in Imperial. Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent dePaul Society or in the form of Masses. Arrangements were under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home in Arnold.
