Donald J. McCutcheon, 85, House Springs
Donald J. McCutcheon, 85, of House Springs died Sept. 10, 2021. Mr. McCutcheon was a professional engineer, previously registered in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas and Florida. He was drafted into the Army in 1958 and finished in the ROTC, graduating from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering. He also earned a master’s degree. He loved sports and took part in track and basketball in high school. He later played on minor and semi-pro baseball teams, and he coached and managed kids’ baseball and basketball teams in House Springs. He also loved golf and spending time with his family. He was a people person and will be remembered for his honesty and generosity. He was born June 21, 1936, in Osawatomie, Kan.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Ona; a daughter: Melinda “Mindy” McCutcheon of St. Louis; four sons: Michael “Mic” (Lisa) McCutcheon of Manchester; Monty “Mont” (Christie) McCutcheon of Defiance; Derek (Lisa) McCutcheon of Fenton and Nathan “Nate” McCutcheon of St. Louis; eight grandchildren: Dustin, Dylan, Tyler, Hannah, Jake, Madilyn, Meghan and Grace; and his twin brother: Ron of Kansas City.
