Donald J. Cummines, 76, of House Springs died September 28, 2020. Cpl. Cummines was retired from Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. He was a medal of valor recipient, mentor, and leader to many and the recipient of many awards and achievements. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a rifle expert. An avid Harley-Davidson rider, he was a member of the Blue Knights and the Patriot Guard and a great friend to many.
He is survived by a son: Gregory (Shammarie) Cummines, a brother: Richard Cummines, a sister: Janet Batterson; five grandchildren: Sheryl, Tammy, Andy, Nichole and Christopher; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Rose (Scott) Cummines; and a daughter: Patricia.
Burial with full military honors is scheduled for today (Oct. 22) in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date, due to COVID-19 restrictions.
