Donald Eugene 'Gene Luckett' Wood, 83, Bloomsdale

Donald Eugene “Gene Luckett” Wood, 83, of Bloomsdale died June 7, 2022, in Ste. Genevieve. Mr. Wood cleaned floors for a living. Born July 23, 1938, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Adeline (Massie) and Floyd Luckett.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Patricia (Miller) Wood.

He is survived by three children: Donald (Mary) Lee of De Soto, Darryl (Debora) Lee of Festus and Mary "Patti" Mansouri of St. Louis; two siblings: Floyd "Leon" Luckett and Jackie (Nick) Tanase; one sister-in-law: Jane Luckett; seven grandchildren: Jenny (Richard) Uding, John P. (Peggy), Ryan C. (Crystal) and Marissa P. Lee, and Ardie (Natalie), Anoushir (Katie) and Kavahn (Megan) Mansouri; and four great-grandchildren: Olivia C., Evelyn G., Anne K. and Jack P. Lee.

He was preceded in death by two sons: David J. Lee and Donald "Sonny" Wood III; and two siblings: Butch Luckett and Joyce (Dave) Gary.

A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, June 25, at Helen Fitzgerald's Irish Grill & Pub, 3650 S. Lindbergh Blvd., in St. Louis County. Arrangements are under the direction of Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve.
