Dolores Stoecklein Krewet, 78, of Festus died Dec. 17, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Mrs. Krewet was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Our Lady Quilters and Sacred Heart Catholic Church for more than 50 years. She worked at Commerce Bank of Festus for 20 years and retired from Eagle Bank in Festus in 2002. Born May 23, 1940, in Bunceton, she was the daughter of the late Wilhelmina “Minnie” (Twenter) and Aloysius “Ollie” Pabst.

She is survived by her husband: William Krewet; two sons: Kelly Stoecklein of Herculaneum and Dale (Lora) Stoecklein of Sunset Hills; one step-son: Matthew Krewet of Chico, Calif.; one stepdaughter: Dawn (Tom) Wentz of St. Peters; six grandchildren: Shane (Sonja) Stoecklein, Ben (Deana) Stoecklein, Madison Stoecklein, Samantha Stoecklein, Maxwell Stoecklein and Joshua Stoecklein; three step-grandchildren: Samantha Wentz, Kevin Wentz and Brad Wentz; a great-grandchild: Desirae Stoecklein and another one on the way, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by five brothers: Virgil (the late Coletta) Pabst, Johnny (the late Velma) Pabst, Robert (the late Margaret) Pabst, Lawrence Pabst and James Pabst; and two sisters: Sister Adelma Pabst, O.S.B., and Irene Pabst.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 555 Bailey Road, in Crystal City, officiated by Father Clark Maes. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Clifton City. Memorials may be made in the form of Masses or the St. Pius X High School Endowment. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
