Diana Mae Seay, 73, of Birch Tree died Dec. 23, 2020, at St. Clair Nursing Center. Mrs. Seay was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and enjoyed living in the Word of Christ. She loved helping others, singing, and gardening. Born Sept. 13, 1947, in Evansville, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Elmer Besing and Mary (White) Besing Houston and the stepdaughter of the late Carl Houston.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years: James Douglas “Doug” Seay, whom she married on June 12, 1965, at Haubstadt Christian Church in Haubstadt, Ind.; two sons: Rick Seay (Lisa) of Crystal City and Scott Seay of Eureka; a daughter: Darla Johnson of Catawissa; a sister: Pam Simpson of Haubstadt, Ind.; and five grandchildren: Kayla Seay of High Ridge, Nicole (Darryl) Poertner of Morse Mill, Jacob Seay of Arnold, Sam Johnson of Catawissa and Jesse Johnson of Catawissa.
She is preceded in death by a brother: Billy Besing.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date in Catawissa. Arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary in Birch Tree.
