Dennis Michael Swiercz, 61, of Spring Hill, Tenn., formerly of Arnold, died June 15, 2017, in Aruba. Mr. Swiercz was retired in 2011 from Ice Cream Specialties in St. Louis. He was a member of Spring Meadows Church of Christ and a former member of the Arnold Church of Christ. He also was a member of the Middle Tennessee Model A Club. Born in Kirkwood, he was the son of the late Edward and Olivette (Storll) Swiercz.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Cathy Duncan Swiercz; two daughters: Kelly (Matthew) Ruiz of Thompson’s Station, Tenn., and Katie (Tim) Nichols of Spring Hill, Tenn.; a son: Michael (Amanda) Swiercz of Brentwood, Tenn.; a brother: Danny (Patty) Swiercz of Hillsboro; two sisters: Judi (Bill) Sheets of New Baden, Ill., and Juanita (Ray) Gullet of Catawissa; and nine grandchildren: Malachi, Caiden, Jacobi, Channing, Tinley, Miller, Josie, Molly and Brantley.
Funeral services were held June 24 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home in Spring Hill, Tenn.. Burial was in Spring Hill Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home.
