Delano Garner “Del” Nosser, 85, of De Soto died July 22, 2018, at his home. Mr. Nosser owned and operated Nosser Auto Sales & Salvage. He was born Jan. 26, 1933, in Mineral Point, the son of the late Melanmous M. “Charlie” and Florence (Counts) Nosser.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years: Irene “Mae” (Johnson) Nosser, whom he married on June 14, 1952, in De Soto; several foster children; three brothers: Herb Nosser of Ursa, Ill., Steve Nosser of Quincy, Ill., and Abraham Nosser of Murphysboro, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five siblings: Maude Kaufman, Cebe Coleman, Harding Nosser, Mae Nosser and Jim Nosser.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. today (July 26) at First Free Will Baptist Church, 1401 S. Fifth St., in De Soto, officiated by Brother Bob Thebeau. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
