Debra Ann (Carter) Ruby, 65, of Pevely died May 3, 2022, at her home. Ms. Ruby was a bus driver and custodian for the Festus R-6 School District. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with her family. Born June 13, 1956, in Potosi, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Norma (Dicus) Carter.
She is survived by three daughters: Buffy (Tony) Alvarez, Jeanetta Parras and Melissa Dickinson, all of Pevely; eight grandchildren: Dakota, Alexis, Seirra, Kaleeah, Jada, Erica, Christina and Adrian; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Jerry, Roger and Randy Carter; and a daughter: Vicky Dickinson.
A funeral service was held May 7 at Mahn Twin City Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Shirley Martka. Memorials may be made to the family c/o Buffy Alvarez. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
