Deborah Kay (Counts) Ward, 67, of Cedar Hill died May 28, 2022, in Cedar Hill. Mrs. Ward enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, making people laugh and spending time with family and friends. Born July 9, 1954, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Pauline (Mumburger) Counts. She was preceded in death by her husband: William Ward.
She is survived by a son: Charles (Lisa) Posey; four grandchildren: Chance (Melissa) Posey, Jamie Posey, Sabrina Henson and Jacob Henry; two sisters: Nancy Parks and Linda (Gordon) Mathes; three great-grandchildren: Chace, Adrina and Adalee; a nephew: Jimmy (Jeannie); and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Jamie Posey.
Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
