Deanna L. Dunnegan, 72, of De Soto died Jan. 9, 2021, at Crystal Oaks Nursing Facility in Festus. Mrs. Dunnegan taught in the Kingston School District and at De Soto Head Start and worked as a paraprofessional with the De Soto School District. She enjoyed quilting. Born Oct. 8, 1948, in Ludington, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Edna (Glidden) Chadwick. She was preceded in death by her husband: Gary W. Dunnegan.
She is survived by three children: Amber (Jamie) Henry, Chad (Kelly) Dunnegan and Andrew (Melissa) Dunnegan, all of De Soto; a sister: Karen Bradshaw of Ludington, Mich.; four grandchildren: Logan Henry, Dylan Henry, Mackenzie (Justin) Noll and Jacob Ames; and one great-grandchild: Willow Noll.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Bonnie Garrett.
A virtual memorial service was held and may be viewed beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, on the Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home website. Burial was in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Crystal Oaks Foundation, P.O Box 680, Festus, 63028. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
