David Falch, 75, of De Soto died Dec. 25, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Falch had retired as a senior planner/buyer with Hussman Refrigeration. A graduate of Hillsboro High School, he earned bachelor’s degrees from Central Bible College and Southwest Missouri State University. He was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church in De Soto, where he served on many committees and boards and, with his wife, Rosanna, helped with the church’s Kids Camp. He was a volunteer with the Hillsboro Food Pantry, served with the Missouri National Guard and enjoyed attending the activities of his grandchildren and working around his rural De Soto home. Born Sept. 26, 1945, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Otto W. and Hilda (Fischer) Falch.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Rosanna (Stoughton) Falch of De Soto; six children: Dr. Philip (Sara) Falch of Farmington, Rebecca (Jonathan) Hosak of Springfield, Mo., Andrew Falch of Springfield, Matthew (Sarah) Falch of De Soto, Timothy Falch of Mansfield and Nina Ruth (Andrew) Ayres of Brighton; three sisters: Betty Falch of De Soto, Jane (Reggie) Ballard of Clinton and Ruth Ann (Bill) Keath of De Soto; a sister in law: Lou Falch of Farmington; and seven grandchildren: Lane, Jessika, Aslin, Blian, Joshua, Elinor and Levi, with another on the way. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Walter Falch and Alvin Falch.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at First Assembly of God Church in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Derek Jones. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Kids Camp, c/o First Assembly of God Church, 12635 Hwy. 21, De Soto, 63020; or to the Hillsboro Food Pantry, P.O. Box 168, Hillsboro, 63050. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
