Darryl Lawrence Yates, 55, formerly of Pevely, died April 16, 2018, at Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Herculaneum. Mr. Yates enjoyed making jewelry, and he loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He also was an avid Cardinal fan. Born June 11, 1962, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Oliver and Genevieve (Reichert) Yates.
He is survived by nine brothers: Robert (Elizabeth) Yates of Pacific, Bill (Lynn) Yates of De Soto, Thomas (Diana) Yates of Pevely, Oliver (Charlie) Yates of St. Charles, Eddie (Renee) Yates of Herculaneum, John (the late Debbie) Yates of Pevely, Richard (Kathy) Yates of Pevely, Russ Yates of Imperial and Greg (the late Gena) Yates of Festus; three sisters: Janice (the late Denny) Cayou of St. Louis, Judy Schrock of St. Louis and Annette (Jim Werner) Jackson of Hillsboro.
A memorial gathering will be from 6 p.m. until the funeral services at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
