Darrell Lee Edward Politte, 76, of High Ridge died Oct. 26, 2022, in High Ridge. Mr. Politte ran track for Potosi High School, and his records still stand. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970 during the Vietnam War. He worked in the printing industry as a shipping manager for National Graphics and other printing companies in St. Louis. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Blues and the St. Louis Cardinals, and enjoyed acting as the neighborhood watch, being outside, working in his yard, sports, going to the casino and spending time with family. Born July 14, 1946, in Old Mines, he was the son of the late Andrew and Genevieve (Whitter) Politte.

He is survived by his wife of more than 55 years: Patricia (Gough) Politte; three children: Brian Politte, Kimberly Goulet and Cortney (Jose) Quiroz; two grandchildren: Sadie Quiroz and Cecilia Quiroz; five siblings: Deanna Luther, Terry Lomax, Judy Politte, Bobbie Osia and Carl Politte; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by six siblings: Victor Politte, Wayne Politte, Kenneth Politte, Ronnie Politte, Larry Politte, and Curtis Politte.

Visitation is scheduled from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
