Danny Wayne Watson, 70, of Festus died Jan. 22, 2023, at Crystal Oaks Nursing Home in Festus. Mr. Watson was born Aug. 7, 1952, in Poplar Bluff, the son of the late Helen (Baker) and Robert Watson. He was preceded in death by his wife: Jeane Genevieve (Carrow) Watson.
He is survived by six children: Roy (Yolanda) Smith of Iowa, Shawn Smith of Festus, Lonnie (Renetta) Smith of Crystal City, DaNelle (Gabe) Winters of Valles Mines, Amber (Stephen) Eisenbeis of Crystal City and Melissa (Chris) Hodges of Crystal City; two siblings: Tim (Theresa) Watson of St. Louis and Terri Mills of Potosi; 12 grandchildren: Rachel, Cameron, Skyler, Cayla, Cody, Blake, Landon, Jessie, Nolan, Riley, Trent and Kingsley; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother: Gary (the late Jo) Watson.
Visitation is scheduled from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, at the funeral home. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
