Daniel Lee Whitt Sr., 71, Lake Hanna

Daniel Lee Whitt Sr., 71, of Lake Hanna died Nov. 2, 2021, at de Greef Hospice House in St. Louis. Mr. Whitt was a dockhand for Preston Trucking and a member of Teamsters Local 600. Born June 1, 1950, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Albert Hoyt and Velma E. (Bohrman) Whitt.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Dianne Marie (Bequette) Whitt.

He is survived by three children: Angie (George) Davis of Bullhead City, Ariz., Amanda (Beau) Govero of Blackwell and Daniel (Michelle Charest) Whitt Jr. of Blackwell; two siblings: Rhea (the late John) Bailey of Pilot Knob and Bill (April) Whitt of Hillsboro; a sister-in-law: Betty (John) Starr of St. Peters; a brother-in-law: Gary Bequette of Festus; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today (Nov. 4) at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N Main St., in De Soto. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday (Nov. 5) at the funeral home, officiated by Father Ryan Weber. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
