Voyles, Daniel

Daniel L. “Beaver” Voyles, 65, of Cedar Hill died March 24, 2021, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Voyles was retired from the Chrysler automobile manufacturing plant in Fenton. Born Dec. 21, 1955, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late William Monroe and Lida Alberta (Cobb) Voyles.

He was preceded in death by his first wife: Barbara (Harris) Voyles.

He is survived by his wife: Kathleen “Kathy” (Gibson) Voyles of Cedar Hill; a daughter: DeAnna (Michelle) Rosaa of House Springs; a stepdaughter: Brittany Brewer; four siblings: Gary Voyles of St. Louis, Bo Voyles of Festus, Pat (Leon) Pyatt of De Soto and Debra (Rob) Owens of De Soto; a sister-in-law: Karen Gore of High Ridge; a brother-in-law: Sonny Bax of De Soto; seven grandchildren: Hayden Eckstein, Sophia Rosaa, Eleanor Rosaa, Daniel Hagen, Mason Schenk, Nicholas Allen and Coltin Brown; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a stepson: Sonny L. Smith; a stepdaughter: Jessica Eckstein; three sisters: Gloria Jeannie Lucas, Phyllis Bax and Betty Voyles; five brothers: James Voyles Sr., Dave Voyles, William Voyles, Willard “Bill” Gore and George Gore; and two brothers-in-law: David O’Harver Sr. and Frank Lucas.

A celebration of life will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday (April 24) at Pavilion 5 at Walther Park, 1551 Veterans Drive, in De Soto. Attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
