Constance “Connie” Abney, 79, of St. Louis died April 23, 2020, in Eureka. Mrs. Abney earned numerous college degrees. She enjoyed garage sales, reading and listening to the radio. Born Jan. 3, 1941, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Vera (Daugherty) and Charles Turley.
She is survived by two children: James Abney of St. Peters and William (Lori) Abney of St. Louis; two grandchildren: Sarah (Matt) Orourke and William (Rachel Hubbard) Abney; three great-grandchildren: Lincoln Orourke, Grayson Orourke and Addie Hubbard; two siblings: Norman (Sandy) Turley of Hillsboro and Margaret (Al) Himmelsbach of Bowling Green; and numerous family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Donald Turley.
Private graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
