Clindon “Toby” Ruby, 81, of Arnold died Aug. 6, 2020. Mr. Ruby was a graduate of Wardell High School and a retired superintendent with the Chrysler Corp. He enjoyed fishing and a good meal, especially Vienna sausages, potted meats and hot sauce. Born June 16, 1939, in Portageville, he was the son of the late Rease (Humphrey) Ruby and George Ruby Sr.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Carolyn (Floyd) Ruby.
He is survived by two daughters: Karen Stewart and Kelly Conn; a son-in-law: David Conn; a brother: Wayne; five sisters: Margie, Linda, Sharon, Jeannie and Faye; three grandchildren: Joshua (Heather) Stewart, Danielle (Brian) Berg and Justin (Brooke Tipton) Conn; and six great-grandchildren: Gwen Stewart, Iris Stewart, Korbin Stewart, Joselynn Berg, Harvey Berg and Addison Berg.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Martin Stewart; a sister: Dot; and a brother: Bud.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold, immediately followed by funeral services. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis MO 63132. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
