Claude J. Herschel, 77, of Hillsboro died Nov. 21, 2018, in Fenton. Mr. Herschel was an electrician and a member of IBEW Local 1. Born Feb. 20, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Anna Crane and Joseph Herschel. He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Jean (Klingemann) Herschel.
He is survived by two sons: Chris (Christy) Herschel of Pacific and Gregory Herschel of St. Clair; a daughter: Deborah (Ronnie) Pickles of House Springs; three grandchildren: Jason Pickles, Danielle (Kaleb) Motsinger and Kelsey Herschel; and a great-granddaughter: Paisley Marie.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., in south St. Louis County. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Larry Ridenour. Burial is in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
