Chester Roosevelt Chotrow, 79, of Festus died Dec. 26, 2016, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. Mr. Chotrow was a retired assembler for General Motors and a member of Radiant Life Church in Festus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Elks Lodge 1721 and the Festus-Crystal City Conservation Club. He was born May 1, 1937, in St. Louis.
He is survived by his wife: Debra Kay (Taylor) Chotrow; a daughter: Kathy (James “Jake”) Glaze of Cadet; two sons: Timothy (Donna) Chotrow of De Soto and Jeffrey (Tina) Chotrow of Bloomsdale; a stepdaughter: Jennifer Smith of Festus; two stepsons: Mark (Angie) Smith of Bonne Terre and Daniel (Kate) Smith of Festus; a daughter-in-law: Kathy Chotrow; a sister-in-law: Barbara Chotrow of Pevely; 11 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son: Daniel Chotrow; and two brothers: William “Glen” (the late Shirley) Chotrow and Charles E. Chotrow I.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Randy Gray. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
