Cheryl Lynn “Sherry” Poe, 60, of De Soto died Sept. 22, 2018, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Poe previously worked at Nordyne & Raven Precision Industries. She was a proud graduate of the Culinary Arts program at Jefferson College. Born Aug. 4, 1958, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Judy (Meyer) Hamilton of Imperial and the late Ed Ellis.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 11 years: Aaron C. Poe of De Soto; two daughters: Crystal Norrell of Imperial and Lorina (Chad) Reynolds of Festus; three brothers: Ed Ellis of California, Earl Reed of New Mexico and John Reed of New Mexico; a sister: Sharon Papayik of Imperial; three grandchildren: Sierra Norrell, Brett Norrell and Jensen Reynolds; a great-grandson: Cameron Evans; and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
