Charles Stephen Visnovske Jr., 74, of Pevely died Aug. 26, 2016, at Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation in Herculaneum. Mr. Visnovske was a clerical employee with the Veteran’s Administration in St. Louis and a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City. Born Aug. 25, 1942, in Crystal City, he was the son of the late Catherine (Lednick) and Charles Stephen Visnovske Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife: Polly Ann (Mattox) Hartman Basler Visnovske.
He is survived by two stepchildren: Laura L. (Chris) Campbell of De Soto and Scott A. Hartman of De Soto; a brother: Stanley (Julie) Visnovske of Ballwin; three grandchildren: Tyler Hartman, Layne (Nick) Coffman and Claire (Noah Scott) Campbell; and two godchildren: Evie and Josh Mahue.
Memorial Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, officiated by Father Clark Maes. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
