Charles R. Willcut, 86, of De Soto died Dec. 23, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Willcut was a retired group pension manager at American General Life Insurance. He was a graduate of Clarkton High School and Arkansas State University. He enjoyed athletic events and other activities at De Soto High School. Born Aug. 2, 1935, in Clarkton, he was the son of the late Marjorie Louise (James) and Samuel Willcut.
He is survived by his wife: Glenda Sue (Taylor) Willcut of De Soto; a daughter: Tamara Williams of Hillsboro; a sister-in-law: Annie Willcut of Camdenton; two grandchildren: Carly (Patrick) Selsor of De Soto of Brian (Kara) Williams of St. Louis; three great-grandchildren: Nolan, Raegan and Timothy Selsor; a great-granddaughter: Riley Williams to be born; and a nephew: Sam Willcut of Camdenton.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Nick Willcut; and a nephew: Mark Willcut.
Private burial will be at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, De Soto.
