Dawson, Charles

Charles L. “Charlie” Dawson, 75, of Farmington died May 25, 2021, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County. Mr. Dawson was a retired truck driver and a member of Farmington Presbyterian Church. He was a longtime fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, playing drums and singing in church and at the local Buffalo Wild Wings. Born July 13, 1945, he was the son of the late Richard Lee and Alma (Fraser) Dawson.

He is survived by six children: Charles Dawson and Charlotte Dawson of Pueblo, Colo., Rick (Jana) Dawson of Festus, Missy (Tim) Johnson of Festus, Chrissy Lewis of Pevely and Tommy (Amy) Dawson of Jackson; two sisters: Ida Taylor of Farmington and Becky Goodman of Desloge; a brother: Guy Dawson of Farmington; five grandchildren: Chloe Dawson of Festus, Kennedi and Sophie Lewis of Pevely, Payton Johnson of Festus and Bentley Dawson of Jackson; and several other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Jimmy and Donald Dawson.

Visitation is from noon until a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at Farmington Presbyterian Church.
