Charles J. Feeney, 70, of Fenton died April 13, 2016, at St. Clare Health Center in Fenton. Mr. Feeney was a mechanic and a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Born Aug. 22, 1945, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Edward and Pauline (McGhee) Feeney.
He is survived by two children: Michael (Jeanne) Feeney of Virginia and Theresa Ann (Brian) Boland of Norfolk, Va.; a brother-in-law: Richard Ackfeld of De Soto; two grandchildren; four nieces; and several great-nieces and great-nephews, two of whom followed in their great-uncle’s footsteps in the U.S. Marine Corps: Travis Oaks and Zachariah Breck..
He was preceded in death by a sister: Sharon Ackfeld.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks, Bruce Valle officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrict-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
