Holloway, Ed

Charles Edward “Ed” Holloway, 73, of Dittmer died Oct. 16, 2018, in Dittmer. Mr. Hollway, a retiree, was a member of the Elks Lodge in Cedar Hill and a lifetime member of the Cedar Hill VFW post. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Born June 10, 1945, in St Louis, he was the son of the late Tippie and Gordon Mizell and Henry Holloway.

He is survived by a daughter: Gina Harris of Festus; two sisters: Debbie Langiano of Forsythe and Diane Hall of Marlborough; four grandchildren: Hayley Harris, Erica Harris, Jesica Harris and Cody Rice; and a nephew: Scotty Roberts of Dittmer and his family.

He was preceded in death by a son: Shawn Holloway; three brothers: Ronnie Mizell, Oscar Holloway and Roger Mizell; and his best friend: Steve Simpson.

A graveside service was held Oct. 28 at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks, officiated by Lynda Harris. Arrangements were under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
