Charles David “Charlie” Trimble, 75, of House Springs died Feb. 10, 2023, in House Springs. Mr. Trimble worked with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency of the U.S. Department of Defense in defense mapping for 43 years, four of those with the Air Force. He attended Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in House Springs, where he was a regular at fish fries.
He enjoyed fishing, especially his annual trips, and loved going out to eat or grilling at home, while he told stories. He was a sports fan, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, and was known for his dry sense of humor and infectious smile. Born Feb. 21, 1947, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Hildred (Reichle) Adler and William Trimble.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years: Darleen Allmeroth; two children: Amy Marie Trimble and Matthew Trimble; one grandchild: Xzavier “Charlie” Greenwade; four siblings: Martha (Vince) Graham, Barbra Bettlach, Sara “Sally” (Mike) Ecker and John (Sheila) Trimble; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by three siblings: James Trimble, William (Robyn) Trimble and Mary (James) Vornberg.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4696 Notre Dame Dr., in House Springs. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
