Charles C. Moiser, 86, of De Soto died Dec. 10, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Moiser was retired from Reynolds Aluminum in St. Louis where he worked as a press operator in the printing shop. He served in the Missouri National Guard and was a member of Amvets Post 48 in De Soto. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing bing, and especially building things. Born Aug. 12, 1934, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late George Moiser and Flossie (Taylor) Walton. He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary E. (Reed) Moiser.
He is survived by his longtime companion: Jenny Thurman of De Soto; two daughters: Terri (Duane) Guenther of Bloomsdale and Tammy (Jerry Lincoln) Svboda of De Soto; a brother: Earl (Jean) Moiser of De Soto; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son: Donald Moiser; a brother: George Moiser Jr.; and two sisters: Pauline Schott and Ruby Moiser.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto. Visitation is at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Mike Rose. Burial is in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
