Charles “Barry” Isaac, 76, of De Soto died April 29, 2019, in De Soto. Mr. Isaac, a member of local 513, had been a heavy equipment operator for more than 50 years and owned and operated Barry Isaac’s Hauling and Excavating. He loved to hunt and fish and was a very successful gardener, always proud to share his crops with family and friends. Born April 25,1943, in Malden, he was the son of the late Clyde and Marie (Johnson) Isaac.
He is survived by his wife: Linda Isaac of DeSoto; two sons: David (Michelle) Isaac and Chuck (Becky) Isaac, both of De Soto; a daughter: Cindy Gorse of Dallas, Texas; a sister: Karen (Vic) Davolt of Brighton, Colo.; four grandchildren: Samantha, Dylan, Jason and Helen Isaac; two great-grandchildren: Sofia and Julia Ketcherside; and several stepchildren and step-grandchildren he thought of as his own.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, May 3, at Mahn Funeral home, 900 Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Randy Gray. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
