Catherine Jean Spradling-Badger, 71, of Festus died Oct. 31, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Spradling-Badger enjoyed putting together puzzles and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Born Oct. 4, 1951, in Bonne Terre, she was the daughter of the late Thelma (Waggoner) and Charles Spradling.
She is survived by two daughters: Julie (Chuck) Jennings of Festus and Michelle (Wind) Fuller of Ste. Genevieve; two sons: Joe (Nina) Badger of Festus and Larry Badger of Crystal City; seven grandchildren: Chuck Jennings, Sydney Badger, Allyson (Tyler) Sides, Katelyn Fuller, Chelsea Badger, Logan Fuller and Sophia Badger; and a great-granddaughter: Everleigh Jennings.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Betty Eaves; three brothers: Don Spradling, Leroy Spradling and Charles “Bud” Spradling; and her former spouse: James Badger.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the funeral home, officiated by Chuck Jennings. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 50 Crestwood Executive Court, St. Louis, 63126. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
