Carrol Ann Thurman, 86, of Ste. Genevieve died Jan. 4, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Thurman was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, caring for children of the parish, and was involved with Amvets Post 48. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with family, especially her great-grandchildren. She was born Dec. 7, 1935, in St. Louis. She was preceded in death by her longtime partner: Charles “Chuck” Moiser; and her husband: Marvin Robert Thurman.
She is survived by a daughter: Terri (Duane) Guenther of Ste. Genevieve; a brother: David (Mimi) Brentlinger of St. Charles; 10 grandchildren: Brandon, Nikki, Stacey, Dawn, Andrea, Dana, Erin, Danny, Charlie, Sammie; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son: Michael R. Thurman; a daughter: Tamara Svoboda; three brothers: Jack, Roy and Karl Brentlinger; and four sisters: Jeanie, Cecelia, Joan and Mary Jane Brentlinger.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
