Carolyn Ann Bisch, 55, of Festus died Dec. 7, 2018, at Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County. Ms. Bisch was a cosmetologist and she attended Pentecostal Assemblies of World Church and Bethesda Pentecostal. She also was a community activist involved with the LaJade Theater Foundation Program, Kids Donation Drive for the Twin Cities, Concerned Citizens Organization and Grass Roots. She served on the committee to elect Barack Obama both terms, the committee to elect Jesse Jackson, and she was involved in voter registration and as an election polls worker.

Born Dec. 20, 1962, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Ruth I. (Culton) Bisch of Festus and the late Charles L. Bisch.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son: Aaron L. Bisch of Festus; two daughters: Cierra L. Bisch of Festus and Alecia R Bisch of Festus; two brothers: Dwayne (Norma Kay) Bisch of De Soto and Philip (Josephine) Bisch of Decatur, Ill.; five sisters: Gwendolyn Overstreet of Crystal City, Linda (Richard) Cayce of Kansas City, Jacqueline (John II) Shores of Decatur, Ill., Tina Ruffin of Festus and Lola Bisch of Herculaneum; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by one brother: Stephen Bisch; one brother-in-law: William Overstreet; and four grandparents: William and Myrtle Culton and Rudolph and Juanita Whitener.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral services at noon Friday, Dec. 14, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Donna Elliott. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
