Carol Jeanne (Kaag) Bacher, 87, House Springs

Carol Jeanne (Kaag) Bacher, 87, of House Springs died Oct. 29, 2022, at Mother of Good Counsel Home. Mrs. Bacher graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1953. She was a longtime volunteer with the Jefferson County Library Friends of the Library. She enjoyed attending her children’s activities while they were growing up. She also liked playing Bingo, reading books, taking walks and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born Sept. 8, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Clara (Spindler) Dobrotinic and Clarence Kaag.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years: Charles Bacher Sr.

She is survived by three children: Charles (Jackie) Bacher Jr., Claire (Will) Tsosie and Chris (Will) Somervell; nine grandchildren: Bryan Stewart, Brent Mackie, Charles (Sammie) Bacher III, Catherine (Jordan) Villmer, Alyssa Bacher, Caitlyn (Daniel) Blume, Priscilla (Kobe) Shatto, Taylor Somervell and Susanne Bacher; and seven great-grandchildren: Jack, Alex, Charlotte, Milo, Avery, Cruz, and Johnathan.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 4696 Notre Dame Lane, in House Springs. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be made to masses or Mother of Good Counsel Home, 6825 Natural Bridge Road, St. Louis, 63121. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
