Carol Ann (Kaeshoefer) Engelbach, 82, Barnhart
Carol Ann (Kaeshoefer) Engelbach, 82, of Barnhart died March 25, 2025, at Southbrook Nursing Home in Farmington. Mrs. Engelbach graduated from DeAndreis High School in St. Louis. She was a farm wife, mother, and bookkeeper. She was a member of the St. Joseph Parish in Imperial where she was active with the Heavenly Dusters, funeral dinners and festival dinners. She volunteered at the Windsor schools as a room mother, Mother’s Club member and officer and reading buddy. She also served on the Windsor Board of Education for nine years. She was inducted into the Windsor Hall of Fame in 2017. She was active in the Farm Bureau, Windsor Wonders, Missouri Extension, Tri-State Truck Pulling organization and Illinois Tractor Pullers. She enjoyed St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball, gardening, canning, cooking, and spending time with family. Born April 3, 1942, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Agnes Cecilia (Kratz) and Adolph William Kaeshoefer.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond Eugene Engelbach, whom she married in February 1963.
She is survived by two children: Barbara Ann “Barb” (Mike) Hudson of Kent, Iowa, and Robert Eugene “Bob” (Tammy) Engelbach of Barnhart; five grandchildren: Jennifer (Ryan) Hoyt, Matthew (Cassie) Hudson, Jarred (Heather) Engelbach, Brent (Lexi) Engelbach and Thomas Hudson; six great-grandchildren: Sam Hudson, Paisley Hudson, Cameron Hoyt, Kendall Hoyt, Forrest Engelbach and Bristol Hudson; a brother: Jack (Dianna) Kaeshoefer; a sister-in-law: Cecelia (Dennis) Portlock; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother: William; and her in-laws: Ervin and Marie (Hollerbach) Engelbach.
Visitation will be from 5:30-8 p.m. Monday, March 31, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6020 Old Antonia Road, in Imperial followed by burial in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. A luncheon will immediately follow the graveside service at St. Joseph Catholic Church’s Corpus Christi Center. Memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice Care, 5272 Flat River Drive, Park Hills, 63601. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home.
