Carl James Kinder, 87, of Festus died April 14, 2022, in Festus. Mr. Kinder was a retired welder with LaRoche Industries. He loved spending his summers on the water at Lake Wappapello, boating, swimming and water skiing. He worked hard, loved to travel and his best times were spent enjoying the company of his loved ones. He was born March 15, 1935, in Fredericktown, the son of the late Oscar and Nellie Mae (Seals) Kinder. He was preceded in death by his wife: Virginia “Ginger” (Bollinger) Kinder, whom he married on Feb. 13, 1955 in Mississippi.
He is survived by a daughter: Rynda (Bill) Harris of Festus; a brother: Benton Kinder of Overland Park, Kan.; a sister: Linda (Joe) Barnes of Highland, Ill.; a granddaughter: Tiffany (Brent) Bayer of Jefferson City; and a great-granddaughter: Adalyn Bayer of Jefferson City.
A memorial service was held April 29 at Follis & Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Arrangements were under the direction of Follis & Sons Funeral Home.
