Bruce A. Winckel, 57, of Bonne Terre died Oct. 17, 2022, at his home. Mr. Winckel was a senior warehouse manager at Midland Paper. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed playing golf, his dogs and attending events involving his children and grandchildren. Born Nov. 8, 1964, in Bonne Terre, he was the son of the late Robert L. “Bob” and Edith (Cox) Winckel.
He is survived by his wife: Laurie (O’Neal) Winckel; three children: Jaclyn (Kyle) Hathman of Bonne Terre, Joseph (Breanna) Winckel of Desloge and Jason (Nikki) Winckel of St. Louis; five siblings: Karen (Ed) Schuh of Hillsboro, Cheryl (Barry) Byers of Washington, Mo., Melinda (David) McGougan of Eureka, Marg (Pat) Jackson of De Soto and Robert "Bob" (Pam) Winckel II of De Soto; and six grandchildren: Emmitt, Carter, Brooklyn, Emersyn, Louden and Lakelyn.
A memorial gathering will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., De Soto, followed by funeral services officiated by Pastor Bryan Smith. Memorials may be made to the Raiders Junior Football League or the Farmington Pet Adoption, 2901 Hwy. 67, Farmington 63640. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, De Soto.
