Blanche L. Lewis, 85, of De Soto died July 13, 2017, at the Villas in De Soto. Mrs. Lewis was a licensed practical nurse who worked at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. Born Nov. 3, 1931, in West Plains, she was the daughter of the late Flora (Brannam) and Raymond Stillman. She was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph C. “Corney” Lewis.
She is survived by two sons: Jeffrey (Jodi Christopher) Lewis of De Soto and Larry (Bonnie Ledbetter) Berkloefer of Wichita Falls, Texas; a daughter-in-law: Janet Hinch of Sulphur Springs; two brothers: Larry Parks of Arizona and Gerald Stillman of Union; a sister-in-law: Gwen Lewis of De Soto; 11 grandchildren: Laura, Monaca, Leslie, Crystal, Alan, Hillary, Xena, Brandon, Ronald Jr., Tiffany and Josh; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons: Bob Carrow, David White and Ronald Lewis Sr., three brothers: Raymond, J.C. and Charles Stillman; a sister: Mary Sue King; and a granddaughter: Bobbie Sue Carrow.
A funeral service was held Aug. 4 at Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Ben Means. Burial was in the De Soto City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Canines in Crisis, 13976 Klondike Road, De Soto, 63020. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
