Billy Jean Rulo, 82, of Pevely died March 6, 2021, at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto. Mr. Rulo was a U.S. Navy veteran who retired from Missouri state crew work in 2001. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and yard art. Born June 21, 1938, in Cadet, he was the son of the late Gertrude (Nichelson) and Richard Rulo.
He is survived by his wife: Virginia (Parrott) Rulo; two sons: Robert “Joe” Rulo of House Springs and Jeff (Kim) Rulo of Texas; a daughter: Kimberly (Jerry) West of Pevely; four grandchildren: Tonya, Jerry Jr., Joshua and Zayne; and three great-grandchildren: Jerry Jr., Peyton and Jude.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Wanda Sue Rulo; a daughter-in-law: Mora Rulo; four brothers: Bobby Rulo, Jerry Rung, Timmy Rung and Lonny Rulo; and a sister: Betty Courtway.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus.
