Manning, Beverly

Beverly June Manning, 82, of Pontoon Beach, Ill., died March 25, 2026, at Fountainbleau Nursing Center in Festus. Mrs. Manning worked in childcare and as a seamstress. She loved cooking and sewing, passing down that passion and knowledge to her children and grandchildren. She was also an avid scrapbooker. When she was able, she enjoyed taking road trips and seeing different parts of the country. She loved her cats, Missy Nina and Piggy. Born July 11, 1943, in Bonne Terre, she was the daughter of the late Estella (Stewart) and William Marion Burgan.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Ronald Lee Manning.

She is survived by two sons: Douglas (Jerrie) Manning of Festus and Jeffrey (Carmen) Manning of Festus; two daughters: Cat (Lynn) Manning of Pontoon Beach and Rebecca (Ernie) Morfeld of Festus; six grandchildren: Heather (Stephen) Nations, Wendy Morfeld, Lydia Manning, Matteo Manning, Brandellan (Chad) Alexander and Kimber Manning; and four great-grandchildren: Olive Watson, Kobe Alexander, Kole Alexander and Everette Manning.

She also was preceded in death by a brother: Donald Ray Burgan; a sister: Deborah Ann (the late Dale) Agnew; and a grandson: William Michael Watson.

Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Visitation will resume from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Ray Halbrook of Crystal City. Interment will follow in Sandy Cemetery of Hillsboro. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
