Beverly Ann Howard, 59, of Festus died Dec. 8, 2017, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. Ms. Howard was a registered nurse, retired after 30 years with Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Festus, the National Nurse’s Association and Royal Neighbors of America, and was an avid supporter of numerous animal recue agencies. Born March 28, 1958, in Festus, she was the daughter of Rosemary (Roth) Howard of Festus and the late Robert Lee Howard.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a brother: Brad (Michelle) Howard of Bloomsdale; dear friend Susan Baker of Festus; two nieces: Britne Howard and Heather Pippin; a nephew: Nathan (Melissa) Pippin; two great-nieces: Jenavieve and Haleigh Pippin; and a special cousin: William “Bill” (Glenda) Pilliard of Festus.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Visitation is at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3551 U.S. Hwy. 61, in Festus, Rev. Karen Tutak officiating. Burial is in the Danby Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, Open Door Animal Sanctuary, or the Farmington Pet Adoption Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
