Betty Lou Mueller, 84, of Festus died May 11, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Mueller was a co-owner of and receptionist and bookkeeper for Gene’s Appliance Co. A member of the First United Methodist Church of De Soto. She enjoyed reading, gardening, dancing, bowling, cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family. Born Sept. 10, 1933, in Clayton, she was the daughter of the late Lela Marie (Sumpert) Brock and Joseph Woods.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene F. Mueller.
She is survived by two daughters: Carol (Dr. Ray) Early of Festus and Donna Spickard; a foster daughter: Sylvia (Jim) Hasty of Springfield; three siblings: Joseph, Sally and Rose, all of New Jersey; and two grandchildren: Julie (Isaiah) Hardt of St. Charles and Christopher Early of Festus.
Services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
