Betty Green, 84, of Herculaneum died May 16, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Green worked at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur for 34 years until her retirement. She will be remembered for her kindness and loving nature. Born March 23, 1938, in St. Clair, she was the daughter of the late Denver and Elizabeth (Duemler) Newbold.
She is survived by a son: Ken Baublitz; a daughter: Karyn Laidlaw; two granddaughters: Whitney (Jeremy Brixey) Jakubs and Christine Owen; eight grandchildren: Lillian, Jaxon, Willow, Mackenzie, Jett, Monroe, Nolan and Lacy; a sister: Patricia Thalacker; and three nieces and one nephew, all of San Francisco, Calif. She was preceded in death by a son: Kevin Baublitz.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1011 Missouri Ave., in Crystal City, with luncheon to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
