Betty “Erline” Schneider, 76, of Arnold died Dec. 4, 2022, at Festus Manor Nursing Home. Ms. Schneider worked as a saleswoman for various insurance companies and was a member of Faith Church in Sunset Hills. She enjoyed watching movies, going out to eat, singing, dancing, playing board games and spending time with her grandchildren. Born Feb. 4, 1946, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Otis Washington Jines and Flora Maybelle Church.
She istwo survived by two sons: Cary (Sherri) Schneider of St. Louis, and Damon (Jessica) Schneider of Pevely; a daughter: Delaina (James) Melton of Olathe, Kan.; three brothers: Joe Jines of Grandview, Tommy Jines of St. Louis and Bobby Jines of St. Louis; seven grandchildren: Josh, Brittany, Brianna, Erica, Hanna, Halle and Zach; 10 great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Ariannah, Adelyn, Avery, Ezra, Leo, Harper, Penelope, Adeline and Blake; along with numerous family members and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Dennis Jines, Daniel Jines and Richard Jines; and two sisters: Roberta Jines and Esther Gilly.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 p.m. until a funeral service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Randy Starkey. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
