Betty Ann Basler, 75, of Ste. Genevieve, died July 13, 2014, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City.
Mrs. Basler was a clerk in the Ste. Genevieve County Associate Circuit Clerk’s Office for more than 30 years.
She was born Jan. 9, 1939, in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of the late Fred A. and Loretta A. (Gegg) Geiler.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years: Arthur J. “Porky” Basler; a son: Dale (Kim) Basler of Ste. Genevieve; two daughters: Michelle (Royce) Hoog of Ste. Genevieve and Kris (Gene) Kertz of Bloomsdale; two sisters: Peggy (Tim) Brown and Patricia (John) Buatte, all of Ste. Genevieve; a brother: Robert (friend Terri Coffey) Geiler of Ste. Genevieve; and six grandchildren: Leigha Hoog Thomure, Brandon Basler, Kendra Hoog, Emily Basler, Jeremy Kertz and Nicole Kertz.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 18, at Basler Funeral Home, 685 Center Drive in Ste. Genevieve. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at the Church of Ste. Genevieve, 49 DuBourg Place, Ste. Genevieve, with Monsignor Michael Turek, the Rev. Bob Samson and the Rev. Gregory Klump officiating. Burial will be in Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.
