Barbara Suzan Mattler, 74, House Springs

Barbara Suzan Mattler, 74, of House Springs died Sept. 11, 2021, in House Springs. Ms. Mattler enjoyed watching “The Price Is Right,” playing Yahtzee, doing word searches, playing games on her tablet, wrestling and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was like a mother to her siblings, and she will be remembered for her sassy personality.

She was born Aug. 15, 1947, in St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years: Robert (Bob) Mattler, whom she met at City Hospital and married in November 1966.

She is survived by her son: Richard (Amanda) Mattler; five grandchildren: Emily, Alivia, Ella, Hannah and Brandon (Sydney); a great-grandchild: Dallace; two sisters: Diane (Charles) Burchett and Patricia (Thomas) Broadbent; six brothers: Albert (Faye) Brown, James (Susie) Brown, David (Pat) Brown, Fremonte (Linda) Brown, Richard (Catherine) Brown and John (Shirley) Brown Sr.; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister: Kathleen Brown.

Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks.
