Barbara Lynn “Barb” Summers, 48, of Reed’s Spring died March 21, 2017, at her home. Ms. Summers was a baker at Eva and Delilah’s Baker at Silver Dollar City in Branson for more than 25 years. Born April 30, 1968, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of Mary Lou (Schultz) Summers of Branson and the late Conrad Sylvester Summers.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sisters: Bonnie Sue (Bob) Hobson of Hillsboro, Linda (Steve) Murphy of Festus and Cathy (Brian) Crump of Festus; a brother-in-law: the Rev. Bruce Torrence of Festus; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister: Connie Torrence; and her dog, Pugsy.
A funeral service was held March 25 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Bruce Torrence. Burial was in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Canines in Crisis in De Soto or the Jefferson County Animal Shelter. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
