Barbara LaVone Nicholls, 91, of De Soto died Sept. 15, 2019, at The Villas in De Soto. Mrs. Nicholls was a registered nurse and a member of the Methodist Church. She loved reading, sewing, spending time with the family and traveling. Born March 12, 1928, in Oshkosh, Neb., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mildred (Ghyra) Davidson.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Samuel Richard Nicholls.
She is survived by a son, Steve (Lane) Nicholls of Festus; a daughter: Diana (Otis) Hamer of Hillsboro; a sister, Luaine Young of Fort Morgan, Colo.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial were private. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
